Patrick Maxwell on the slopes of Mt Nyragongo, a live volcano near Goma, DR Congo, playing his ukelele and wearing a very special shirt.

Something to work on while we're in different places all summer --

Okay July is officially over.
Found a great resource in the Bedford Ukulele Group ( the original one, in UK) http://bedfordukulelegroup.co.uk/

Tons of music in a nice format http://bedfordukulelegroup.co.uk/page3.html

All the chords you will (hopefully) ever need:  http://bedfordukulelegroup.co.uk/chords_v4s.pdf    Good to keep a copy for your practice book

Their 2013 Christmas book is excellent -  http://bedfordukulelegroup.co.uk/BUG%20xmas%20book%202013.pdf

Separately, Silent Night (picking tab) http://bedfordukulelegroup.co.uk/silent-night%20Picking%20Tab.pdf   -- If you don't know what the "tab" means, talk to me or ask around, once you know how to read it, it will be very handy.

Page 4 of the AYB songbook http://bedfordukulelegroup.co.uk/ayb_song_dance%20book.pdf is a wonderful rendition of "Aint She Sweet",  note the tuning is not GCEA, but the finger positions are curiously familiar.  If you have a capo and clamp it on the second fret, that is the banjolele tuning ...    The first four lines (16 measures of "intro" might make a nice intro for us as well,  just need to try it out).

Finally on page 6 of the AYB songbook, a suggestion from Sally, "Crazy Words, Crazy Tune" --
The PDF  of the uke chords is the last one listed in the "C"s --  http://www.shukulele.com/c.html  and a link to a youtube for the melody.
